My beloved father passed away in Sept of 2022 from a stroke due to complications from metastatic lung cancer. I had been floundering, trying to figure out what to do with myself. I've always loved sci-fi and fantasy, and story telling. One of my favorite hobbies is making custom characters in Skyrim, including backstory etc, and then never playing them much.

I'd always dreamed of one day publishing a book of some kind. Everyone does at some point I think, but few ever follow through, leading to fewer ever making any kind of living at it, and thus inspiring it to stay just a hobby. A few years ago my hands were paralyzed in a surgical accident, so now I get a modest pension to live on and don't have to worry about being successful, so that pressure is gone.
